In a recent interview with Junichi Masuda, the Director of the Pokemon franchise, the executive pointed out that Pokemon may be changing in the future. In fact, although he commits to \”surprise and delight\” for fans, there may be some \”big-picture\” ideas in the pipeline that may drastically change the Pokemon franchise; so much so, that the \”Gotta Catch \’Em All\” catchphrase may not even work anymore.

There’s probably going to be a lot more games; we might not be able to use the \”Gotta catch \’em all\” catchphrase anymore,\” Masuda began. \”Of course, we want to keep creating things that will surprise and delight fans. I don\’t think that’s going to change. … I have some big-picture ideas, but I can\’t really talk about them.\”

What future ideas do you hope to see implemented into the franchise? Which direction do you hope Masuda takes the Pokemon series into? Make sure to let us know your thoughts below!
