McDonald’s restaurants in Japan are getting limited-time Pikachu-themed sweets and Happy Meal toys starting June 11, 2021. The “Fruits-chu” trio of sweets is brought to you from a collaboration between Pokémon and McDonald’s Japan, and they’ll come in exclusive packaging that features Pikachu designs. (Thanks, 4Gamer.)
The first McDonald’s Japan / Pokémon collaboration item is the peach-flavored McShake that comes in small for 120 yen (~$1.09) and medium for 200 yen (~$1.82). They say that the shake is perfect for the hot summer, and it comes in six variants of Pikachu cups.
The next collaboration menu item is the Choco-Banana McFlurry. It has soft serve ice cream, banana and chocolate syrup, and crushed nuts. It comes in one size for 290 yen (~$2.63).
Lastly, we have the Hot Apple Custard Pie. We all know that Pikachu has a special fondness for ketchup, but he also loves apples. Since a ketchup and apple pie mixture wouldn’t be that great, McDonald’s Japan went with an apple and custard mix for Pikachu. The pies will go for 150 yen (~$1.36) each.
All three McDonald’s Pikachu-themed sweets will be available starting June 11, 2021. The McShake will be available until mid-July. Meanwhile, the McFlurry and pie will be available until sometime in early September.
As for the McDonald’s Happy Meal Pokémon toys, they’ll be available starting June 11 as well. The top three toys, “Pikachu Balance Challenge,” “Pikachu Dash,” and “Pikachu Dunk,” will be available from June 11 to June 17. The bottom three toys, “Pikachu Get! Ball Attack,” “Pikachu Trick Ring Toss,” and “Pikachu Janken Attack,” will be available from June 18 to June 24. After June 25, Happy Meals will come with one of the six toys at random.

While this collaboration is Japan-exclusive, we got a set of 50 Pokemon TCG cards earlier this year in the West, but since then, they’ve been practically impossible to find.
