Even though I hate clowns, I have loved McDonald’s for my entire life. The Chicken McNuggets are a revelation of flavor that surely even Gordon Ramsay would struggle to match. And if you tossed a small container of McDonald’s French fries into a freshwater lake, it would instantly become a saltwater lake. I devour that food on the rare times that I go. And right now, I am envying Japanese children because they will get to eat McDonald’s out of a rad Poké Ball Happy Meal box.

Yes, McDonald’s and Pokémon have crossed over to promote the digitally animated remake of the first Pokémon film. Pokémon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution releases in Japanese theaters on July 12.
Little kid me would be very reluctant to throw away a Happy Meal box that looked as cool as this one. It’s mostly a Poké Ball, yet it also has Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Mew dynamically springing out at you. Additionally, it has a Pokémon quiz to work through, and Pikachu can be attached to a straw. This thing is quality, people.
IMDB is claiming Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will arrive in the U.S., U.K., and Australia on Nov. 17, but I cannot find confirmation for this. Regardless, I’ll take any reason I can get for children internationally to get their hands on this Happy Meal box while they eat the perfect food, Chicken McNuggets.
