Nintendo has plenty of classics to its name, spread across dozens of different IPs. It’s nigh-on impossible to play them all, and in many cases, even the most experienced Nintendo fans find entire series that they have neglected. What franchise (or franchises) falls into that category for you? What’s stopping you from jumping in?

Metroid is a major one for me. I’ve somehow only beaten Other M, never touching classics like the Prime trilogy for more than an hour. I’m trying to rectify this right now – I’ve been playing Super Metroid over Nintendo Switch Online for the last few days, and I’m already nearly done since the game moves so quickly. Once I’ve finished that, I’ll be looking into the remakes of the two earlier games, and I’ll think about digging out my Wii U so that I can finally give the Prime trilogy a proper try. I’m absolutely loving Samus Aran’s fateful SNES outing, so who knows – maybe I’ll even be caught up in time for Metroid Dread. For now, though, the adventures of this famous bounty hunter have mostly eluded me.

What is your biggest Nintendo blind spot? Why haven’t you managed to get into that series yet? Let us know in the comment section below.
