Earlier this week, Pokemon the Movie: Everyone’s Story made its big screen debut in Japan. Fans waited with baited breath as to what the next big movie would be in the Pokemon franchise, and they were not disappointed. At the very end of the film (pulling a Marvel), fans got a tease that Mewtwo will be making a comeback next year in Pokemon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution.

According to recent reports from Japan, the original voice actor for Mewtwo, Masachika Ichimura, voices Mewtwo in the trailer with the lines “Who am I? Where am I?”

This is big news and although it seems to be a remake of  Pokemon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back, it sure brings back a lot of good memories for fans who grew up with the original.  We are already getting what looks to be a new version of Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow with Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee /Pikachu later this year. It would seem fitting for the original film to get a movie remake as well.

Sadly no official trailer or other news is out just quite yet. Keep your eyes out for information soon on this exciting new entry into the Pokemon Movie Franchise!
