amiibo spring 2022 Min Min Steve Alex Kazuya Sephiroth Pyra Mythra release date

At the tail end of Masahiro Sakurai’s final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation that revealed Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Sakurai mentioned that Min Min from Arms and Steve and Alex from Minecraft will receive their amiibo in spring 2022. Additionally, and as expected, amiibo for Sephiroth, Pyra, Mythra, and Kazuya are all in the works for the future as well. It is typical policy that Nintendo releases an amiibo for every Super Smash Bros. character, but you will still be waiting a while for a final release date on the Min Min, Steve, and Alex amiibo next spring.

This past summer, the hot-ticket amiibo was the Zelda & Loftwing amiibo for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, and the next hot-ticket amiibo is for Metroid Dread, as there is a pretty rad double pack of Samus and a malevolent E.M.M.I. Amiibo fill collectors with excitement and dread, because they’re a delight to own but sometimes a nightmare to physically acquire. The bazillion characters present in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has only exacerbated the delight and the nightmare both.

As spring 2022 approaches, stay tuned for more concrete release dates for the Min Min, Steve, and Alex amiibo. Hopefully they will be worth the wait!

In an update, box art for Steve and Alex has been spotted at the Japanese My Nintendo store:
