MindSeize, a sci-fi Metroidvania, heads to Nintendo Switch in September

Developer Kamina Dimension and publisher First Press Games have announced that their sci-fi Metroidvania MindSeize will launch for Nintendo Switch in September. The game previously launched for PC this past February. It will be available digitally on the Nintendo Switch eShop when it launches later this year, and a physical version will be available on First Press Games’ online store at some point.

The Nintendo Switch version of MindSeize will include both English and Japanese language options, making the Mega Man X and Metroid Fusion-inspired title even more accessible.

The game’s story occurs across four different planets. You’ll be unraveling the secrets of each world and destroying the enemies that lurk there. Between missions you’ll be able to pause for a moment, interact with your crew, and generally enjoy a bit of a quieter time compared to the rest of the game.

Throughout the game you’ll be making use of your MAG, a robotic body that allows the protagonist to do things far beyond human limitations. Along the way, this device can be upgraded to be faster and deadlier in combat or simply more agile on whatever world you choose to visit.

First Press Games has shared a first look at the game’s physical release. More details on this release will come later in the year.

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
