Minecraft Dungeons cross-play Nintendo Switch November Minecraft Dungeons: Howling Peaks DLC December release date Mojang Studios Microsoft

For those looking for a casual take on Diablo that is fun for the whole family, Mojang Studios’ Minecraft Dungeons is apparently a pretty solid option. The fun is only going to expand from here as Minecraft Dungeons cross-play goes live across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in November, the developer has revealed. In addition, the Howling Peaks DLC, as well as a purchasable Season Pass, will launch sometime in December.

Howling Peaks will include a new boss, the Tempest Golem. You can get a quick tease of the new content in clips Mojang Studios has shared on social media, plus a tease of content to come in the future.

If you’ve mastered the game the way it is, that may change as myriad new difficulty options are introduced in the free “Apocalypse Plus” update, which adds “20 new difficulties after Apocalypse VII, increases the characters’ power ceiling, and adds new enchantments and items.” This will seemingly come in December as well.

Adding cross-play to Minecraft Dungeons will really open a lot of doors for more players to play together, across regions or maybe even at home. Although, in the Nintendo world, the biggest news is still that Steve and Alex (and Zombie and Enderman) are headed to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, along with the new Minecraft World level.
