Minecraft’s major new update, dubbed ‘Better Together’, will be coming to select platforms later this year. This new update will bring players under one umbrella, with a version that’s roughly the same across all the different platforms. As for consoles, the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch are the only two systems which will be getting the update (so far).  With that being the case, there are some features that will be added to these versions of the game that will not be avaliable on other console platforms.

One of the new features is having an infinite world size. That means that you will be able to walk in a single direction, and new blocks will continue to be generated pretty much indefinitely. Currently, the Xbox One version posses world sizes of the ‘large’ class, while the Switch is even more limited with ‘medium’-sized worlds. With the Better Together update, worlds that you already have in these versions will transferred to the new Minecraft, and will also be transformed into the ‘Infinite’ size.
