Minish Cap

Grezzo’s The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening wowed fans and critics last year with its gorgeous art style and engaging, whimsical adventure. The game oozed with the sort of charm that only a lovingly crafted top-down The Legend of Zelda game can pull off. Grezzo has worked with plenty of classics from the series at this point, and if their past track record is anything to go by, they have earned a shot at whatever The Legend of Zelda title they could ever possibly want to remake next. That’s where my question for today originates. If you could pick a 2D The Legend of Zelda title for Grezzo (or any studio, really) to remake, which would you pick?

While it’s a pretty tough call between the Oracle games, A Link to the Past, and Minish Cap, I ultimately most want to see a remake of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. It’s the most intriguing of the 2D titles that I’m still yet to play, and its unique setting and premise seem most likely to lend the game to a totally spectacular reimagining, like the fantastically dreamy art style we saw in Link’s Awakening.

What top-down The Legend of Zelda title would you most like to see remade next? Why? Let us know in the comments below.
