Experience has released a demo in Japan for its upcoming dungeon RPG Mon-Yu, and we also got a look at a chaotic new trailer for the game. If you’re a fan of Etrian Odyssey-style games, you’ll want to keep an eye out on this one, especially if you’re into extra challenging dungeon RPGs.
Mon-Yu is the dungeon crawler with a ridiculously long name. The full Japanese title roughly translates to Defeat Monsters and Acquire Strong Swords and Armor – I Believe in the Day the Heroes Defeat the Demon Lord. Since a long name like that would be difficult to market, Experience calls the game Mon-Yu, short for “Monster Yuusha,” which means “Monster Hero” in Japanese.
Another thing that Experience mentions (nonstop in the chaotic trailer) is that the game is extremely challenging. The game doesn’t hold back when it comes to difficulty and will throw “small-fry monsters that will wipe you out.”
In any case, the Mon-Yu demo is now available in Japan. As previously reported, players can try out the first stage of the “Dragon King’s Tower.” Furthermore, those with save data from the demo will also get to carry over their progress to the full version.

Mon-Yu launches for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 15, 2021.
