Former Shin Megami Tensei staff are working on a new RPG with a school setting, and we now know that it is called Monark. The reveal comes from a Monark teaser website that just launched. In addition to the title, the website states that more information will arrive on June 10, 2021, on the same date as the one from the Famitsu teaser yesterday.
The names of key developers were previously teased with the first letters of their last names in S, I, M, and N. The teaser website has a bunch of names with blacked-out letters, but you can make out these four names that appear on the page: Kuzanari Suzuki, Ryutaro Ito, Tsukasa Masuko, and Aya Nishitani. All four of them previously worked on earlier Shin Megami Tensei and Megami Tensei games.
There are a few more teasers on the Monark website. There’s a phone number (050-3204-4961) that leads to an eerie voice message that follows a scream. The message says something along the lines of, “At last, I’ve been waiting for you, my silly, silly child.”
@Renka_schedule discovered a hidden message within the source code of the website. It says, “Four choices. Four destinies. The choices are left to your ego.” The domain also appears to be linked to “cs.furyu.jp,” which essentially confirms the publisher as FuRyu, so we can expect Monark to release for consoles. In any case, we’ll find out more next week during the reveal.
