Monolith Soft fiscal year ends with double profits

Monolith Soft is famous for the Xeno series, including Xenoblade Chronicles. The acclaimed Japanese RPG developer shared some information about their financial performance during their fiscal year that recently ended in March 31, 2019. The numbers show a successful year for the developer, with a total profit of 274 million yen for Monolith Soft.

These Monolith Soft profits numbers are, of course, indicative of great sales and healthy development cycles. Although, this is not new for the company; they have been on a streak of sorts for much of recent years:

  • April 2018 – March 2019: 274m yen
  • April 2017 – March 2018: 138m yen
  • April 2016 – March 2017: 346m yen
  • April 2015 – March 2016: 274m yen
  • April 2014 – March 2015: 101m yen

With this winning streak, more games are to be expected from Monolith Soft, and that is always a good thing! Thus, this success can only translate to sustained quality and continued support for their titles and franchises. In addition, the studio is always experimenting with its Xenoblade franchise. Who knows, maybe this added revenue could result even in new IPs from the studio? Hopefully, they will be able to continue delivering titles with their signature quality and use that revenue to raise the bar in their upcoming titles.

Talking about success, Shovel Knight recently broke a new record in sales, reaching the 2.5 million copies sold. Check out all the details here!
