Monster Hunter digital event for rise and stories 2

Capcom has announced that it will host a digital event to share news for Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2 next week. Fans will get to check out the event on YouTube on Twitch on April 27, starting at 7:00 a.m. PT/10:00 a.m. ET.

News on Monster Hunter Rise will focus on the first free update (Ver. 2.0), which will add the Elder Dragon Chameleos and the new Apex Rathalos. Last we heard, the 2.0 update will add “several new monsters” in addition to Chameleos and Apex Rathalos, so we’ll likely see what they are during the live stream. Capcom also mentioned that the required space for the update is approximately 0.9 GB. For those of you updating for the first time, it will take up about 1.5 GB.

Capcom hasn’t shared much about Monster Hunter Stories 2 since its announcement in the September 2020 Nintendo Direct, but last month we got a closer look at GameStop-exclusive amiibo figures of Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tsukino. The game will also have some sort of cross-compatibility with Monster Hunter Rise, so perhaps we’ll hear about that during the digital event as well.

Monster Hunter Rise is available for Nintendo Switch and will release for PC in early 2022. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin‘s worldwide release date for Switch and PC is July 9, 2021.
