There have been rumors of a PC version of Monster Hunter Rise for a while now, and producer Ryozo Tsujimoto confirmed it with an early 2022 window in a 4Gamer interview.
The Monster Hunter series producer Tsujimoto dropped the bombshell at the end of the interview:
“The Nintendo Switch version of Monster Hunter Rise will launch on March 26, but we’re also moving forward with the development of the PC version, which had high demand from fans overseas, for a launch in early 2022. It is currently in development, so we’ll share more details on the next opportunity that we get to talk with you all.”
Tsujimoto shared the same announcement at the end of his interviews with Famitsu, IGN Japan, and other outlets, but he didn’t go into any further detail about what we can expect from the PC version of Rise. The last mainline game, Monster Hunter: World, launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2018, then on PC that August. PC gamers will have to wait a few months longer to get Monster Hunter Rise when it launches next year.
