Capcom announced Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin amiibo back in March for characters Tsukino, Razewing Ratha, and Ena, and via GameStop, we now know what all of the packaging looks like. As expected — they look quite nice! GameStop has them retailing for $19.99, $22.99, and $19.99 respectively, but they are not available to preorder at this time. The Monster Hunter Stories 2 amiibo are scheduled for release on July 9, 2021 alongside the release of the game itself on Nintendo Switch and PC, and each amiibo will unlock a special layered armor for use in the game.
Notably, this Razewing Ratha amiibo is also included in the Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin Collector’s Edition. The collector’s edition has been coming and going in preorder availability at GameStop already, so check back early and often if you haven’t snagged it already.
Yesterday, we reported on the third trailer for this game, which revealed the return of Lilia and Reverto from the original Monster Hunter Stories in a perhaps more antagonistic role this time. Capcom also shared more details at that time on the gameplay, which involves “breaking” monsters’ body parts to disable them and teaming up with comrades to unleash Double Attacks and Kinship Attacks.
With Tsukino, Razewing Ratha, and Ena amiibo packaging revealed in full, do you plan to buy them all alongside the release of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin?
