A brand new trailer from the series YouTube channel has officially revealed the Terminator and Joker as the final two characters in the Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack. The $40 DLC bundle also includes two already released characters, Shang Tsung and Nightwolf, as well as series veteran Sindel and the antihero star of Image comics, Spawn. $25 for five Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighters does not sound so bad now, does it? You can check out the reveal trailer below, but beware, it might be the most boring debut video of all time. Each of the six fighters takes a turn lumbering into focus, looking extra gruff and menacing for the camera, and then glancing towards the next character. Especially terrible is Joker, who looks just absolutely awful in my opinion. He terrified me, but probably not in the way the Mortal Kombat 11 designers intended.
That trailer was awful, right? Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Regardless, Joker and Terminator could be exciting to play as, though I think that as far as killer clowns go, Pennywise would have been a much better fit. Instead, Mortal Kombat 11 players can enjoy the bajillionth new version of Joker in the last decade and another Terminator crossover–evidently, that series has gotten so bad that poor Arnold is running around seeking refuge in video game franchises.
Thanks to dataminers, none of this is really that new, but we do have release dates for each character. Terminator will hit next, coming October 8. Sindel releases on November 26, and then the comic book guests will come in 2020, with Joker on January 28 and Spawn on March 17.
What do you think of Joker and Terminator coming to Mortal Kombat 11? Am I being too harsh on the roster add-ons? What about on the trailer? Are you looking forward to any of these characters? Sound off in the comments.
