Last year, Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 brought the iconic series of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games to Nintendo Switch. While the first three games were lovingly ported to the hybrid Nintendo console, though, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and its Road to Boruto expansion were nowhere to be seen.
Fans have asked for the game all year, and back in October, CyberConnect2 finally hinted at the possibility of their final entry in the series coming to the Nintendo Switch. Now, those hints have manifested into fact. The latest issue of Weekly Jump has announced that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto will be arriving on Nintendo Switch on April 23, 2020.
The Weekly Jump article reveals that the full game, along with all of the previous DLC and the massive Road to Boruto expansion, will come to Switch, although details on framerate, resolution, and pricing aren’t yet known. There also isn’t a confirmed release outside of Japan, but it’s very likely to happen.
On top of the Nintendo Switch port, all versions of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto will receive a new set of DLC. This adds two new playable characters in the form of Momoshiki and Kinshiki, as well as costumes from the Boruto era of the original series for eleven characters.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto is set to come to Nintendo Switch on April 23, 2020.
