When it was announced last week that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto was bringing its ninja action and lengthy title to the Nintendo Switch next year, only a Japanese release of the port was mentioned. Given that the last three games in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series have made their way onto the Switch in the west, though, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to know that the latest game in the series doesn’t buck that tradition. Bandai Namco has confirmed that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto is going to be available on Nintendo Switch in the west on April 24, 2020.
A new trailer for the Nintendo Switch version shows off some colorful footage from the game, centered mostly on the events of the story involving new blonde-haired hot-headed hero Boruto, son of original series protagonist Naruto. This Nintendo Switch port also includes a pack of new Boruto-themed DLC, making series antagonists Kinshiki Otsutsuki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki playable for the first time in the series. It further includes new outfits for 11 characters based on their older appearances in the Boruto anime and manga, with the trailer showing off previews of these costumes for Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi. This DLC is expected to be available on other platforms next year, as well.
