NBA 2K18 recently swooped onto Switch as well as the other platforms. The game is the same across the board, but the Switch version does not have the same visual fidelity as the other consoles. This is to be expected since the system is not as powerful. So, how much of a difference is there?

YouTube channel ‘Direct-Feed Games’ uploaded a short comparison video which puts the Switch version of NBA 2K18 up against the PS4 edition. Check it out:

Honestly, I’m surprised by how close the two versions match up. There is a noticeable loss of quality on the Switch version, but it really isn’t massive. If anything, the biggest difference is that the Switch version runs at 30FPS whereas the PS4 version comes in at 60FPS. Other than that, it holds up pretty well.

Digital Foundry may come out with their own video soon which will go more in-depth into the whole technical spectrum. If they do post that, we’ll be sure to notify you.

What do you think of the difference? Do you think NBA 2K18 is fine as-is on Switch or do you rather the added visual flare of the PS4 (and Xbox One) version?
