NES Classic Edition

Since the NES Classic Edition and SNES Classic Edition came out they have been hot-ticket items. Now, an analyst with the NPD Group has confirmed that the NES Classic Edition sold the most units in the United States.

The NPD Group’s leading video game analyst Matt Piscatella shared the following in his most recent report:

The NES Classic was June 2018’s highest unit-selling hardware platform, while the PlayStation 4 led the market in dollar sales. This is the first time a Nintendo Entertainment System console has led in monthly unit sales since NPD tracking began in 1995.

That in itself is quite an amazing achievement for the mini replica of the classic NES. What makes it so appealing is probably the easy plug-and-play feature as well as the 30 games that come bundled with it.

According to the NPD Group, Nintendo was also the top-selling publisher in June followed by Ubisoft. If this doesn’t make you want to pick up an NES Classic Edition now (if you haven’t already ), what will?

They are a lot easier to find now than they were at launch, that’s for sure! What do you make of this report and does this make you want to invest in an NES Classic Edition? As someone who already owns a SNES Classic Edition and is loving it, I may just now go pick this one up as well. Let us know in the comments.
