We’re less than a week away from Dr. Mario World hitting Android and iOS devices, and Nintendo is reminding us all with a new trailer. The game, which we noted last month feels barely like a recognizable Dr. Mario title, promises to be packed with new features and special abilities. Nonetheless, it’s an interesting iteration of a classic Nintendo property. It also adds a new variety of game that Nintendo is tackling through a mobile developments.
In this first new Dr. Mario World trailer, we’re introduced to the mobile game’s characters: Dr. Mario, Dr. Yoshi, Dr. Bowser, and Dr. Bowser Jr. We’re also given a look into each character’s special ability.
There’s also a glimpse into Dr. Mario World’s multiplayer modes through a second trailer released this week. As revealed, you can link your game with Facebook and Line to find friends to send hearts to or battle against. Much like Tetris‘ multiplayer mode, players will be able to fill their attack meters and send viruses toward opponents, which adds lines on their screen to eliminate. How many viruses are sent to an opponent are based on a doctor’s attack power.
In addition to these new trailers, Nintendo also launched a website for Dr. Mario World with more information on the game and its modes.
Dr. Mario World launches on July 10, 2019, for Android and iOS devices. It will be free-to-play.
