The Nintendo NX may be getting support for Unreal Engine 4, if a Nintendo hiring page is any indication. According to a Nintendo job listing, the company is looking for a software engineer who is familiar with “existing game engines.” The only game engine singled out is UE4, an engine previously not officially supported on any Nintendo platform.
“We are seeking an engineer to join a team responsible for design, development, debug and delivery of system drivers and tools for Nintendo gaming systems,” the description reads. “The successful candidate will be a high-energy problem-solver with a passion for excellence and a proven track record.
