Nintendo has announced a new Pokemon spin-off title for smartphones titled Pokemon Comaster. The announcement came via a trailer which was uploaded to Youtube earlier this morning.

Not much is currently known about this mobile title, but it is in development by Heroz, a company that often creates AI for chess and backgammon games. In the game, players collect different Pokemon figurines to build up their in-game deck. Each Pokemon has a different attribute that can be used in-game.

Pokemon Comaster is scheduled to launch later this spring in Japan, but no information on a western release has been provided as of yet. The game will be free-to-play, with online multiplayer, but will feature in-game microtransactions.
