Nintendo has rolled out a new system update for the Nintendo Switch. This brings the firmware up to version 4.1.0. The patch notes for this update are pretty standard, with it only being an update that makes “stability improvements”. But, this update also does include a fix for an issue with the Joy-Cons that caused the motion sensors to perform incorrectly.

Improvements Included in Version 4.1.0 (Distributed 12/04/2017)

  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience, including:
    • Resolved an issue that caused motion controls to respond incorrectly when playing games that use the feature

You can go ahead and download the new update via the System Settings menu if your Switch hasn’t already auto-updated on its own.
