Ninjala launch trailer story DLC chapter 1 Van nintendo switch eshop

Ninjala, the online battle game from GungHo Online Entertainment, has received its launch trailer as it is available now. The clip features funky cutscenes, some action-oriented gameplay, and plenty of finger-clickin’ good as it introduces us to the weird and wonderful world of Ninjala. The game looks like a fun mashup of Splatoon and Super Smash Bros. with its colorful style, over-the-top action, and Ninja-Gum battle mechanics.

Ninjala is available on the Switch eShop following a delay and is a free-to-play title. Modes featured within include cooperative play, a 4v4 mode where the objective is simply to earn more points than the opposing team, and the game’s main competitive mode. Extra points can earned by defeating opponents with “IPPON,” flashy finishing moves.

Additionally, GungHo reminds us that DLC content for the game is already available, and it is currently being offered at a discount:

Also available today is Chapter One of the Story Mode DLC which features Van, a naturally talented kid who loves playing basketball. After learning from his master about his family’s ninja ancestry, he resolves to wield his ninja powers for good to defend the WNA and the world at large. With the power of Ninja-Gum, Van will be able to use special ninja abilities, fly around the city, stealthily pursue his targets, and take on huge bosses in epic battles. But when it comes to taking down the enemy, whether it’s a space ninja or a giant, monstrous soda bottle, Van needs to use every trick in the book to gain the upper hand. Van’s Story Mode chapter one is regularly $9.99 USD, but is currently on sale for $4.59 USD. Story Mode is available now in the Nintendo eShop – look out for chapters from other Ninjala characters in the future!

Will you be trying out Ninjala? Or just jammin’ to the trailer’s tune?
