GungHo Ninjala suffers buggy launch server issues but reaches 1 million downloads players, gives rewards

Ninjala has been quite the quiet success for Nintendo since its release last year. After celebrating six million downloads in January, the game is showing no signs of slowing down with engaging content. That much is clear when watching the latest dev diary, hosted on the official Ninjala YouTube channel. Give it a watch below.

Season Six, which is all set for a June 17 arrival, promises new weapons, cards, and changes. The season’s theme is superheroes and villains (kind of a hot topic nowadays, if you hadn’t noticed), and it’ll add two new gum weapons (the “Extreme Motor” and “DJ Scratch,” both great for close-quarters combat scenarios) and a new Shinobi Card (the “Last Spurt,” which maxes out your S-Energy Gauge and doesn’t deplete when matches are nearing the end). Ninjala season six will additionally combine two options in Shinobi Shop navigation, and will offer the “Ninja Pass Mini,” a budget-priced pass that costs 300 Jala.

The developers also plan on celebrating the game’s one-year anniversary. The celebratory period starts June 16 and runs into July, with festivities and promos going the whole time. Players can nab a free 1,000 Jala by logging in between June 16 and July 7, the Story Pack with chapters 1 and 2 will be on sale for only $0.99 from June 16 to July 6, and the ranked First Anniversary Cup tournament begins on July 17, with all sorts of in-game surprises available. Fans should also be on the lookout for a special stream starting June 24. \

Are you still playing Ninjala regularly? Will you partake in any of the first-year anniversary festivities? Sound off below.
