Nintendo Direct

It’s been over two months since the E3 Direct wowed us all with several exciting announcements, from crowd-pleasers like Metroid Dread to Andrew pleasers like Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania (my most anticipated game of the year). Even though many of the most exciting announcements from that Direct still have not been released, enough time has passed that people are starting to wonder when we can expect another update on Nintendo’s plans. When do you think that the next Nintendo Direct will hit?

Personally, I am expecting that the next Nintendo Direct will land in September. Historically, Nintendo almost always chooses to give us an update in September, and while we have a great idea of Nintendo’s holiday line-up already, they might still have an ace up their sleeve to reveal for this year (the rumored new Donkey Kong title would be excellent for one last holiday surprise). Moreso, I think they’d love to reiterate some of the great games that they have coming out, while also starting to set expectations for the sort of games that we can hope to see next year.

When do you think that we will see the next Nintendo Direct? Are you optimistic for next month, or do you think that we will be waiting a while longer? Why or why not? Let us know in the comments below.
