As a surprise to no one, Nintendo has confirmed it will be airing a video presentation at E3 2019. The confirmation was made during a recent investor’s briefing. This presentation will, of course, be another special Nintendo Direct specifically made for E3. Though, at this point, the E3 Directs aren’t excessively different than the other ones sprinkled throughout each year. One thing to note, however, is that the E3 2019 Direct will feature games that are planned to release between June 2019 and March 30, 2020. So, there will be some far-flung titles in the mix to look forward to.
Nintendo stopped holding traditional live on-stage press conferences at E3 back in 2013 and hasn’t looked back since. This format has been slowly adopted by other companies who, while still actually using traditional stage presentations, now feature far more pre-recorded content rather than live demonstrations.
E3 2019 will be a little different as Sony will be completely absent from the show, leaving Microsoft and Nintendo to soak up the limelight all on their own as the sole console manufacturers being present. EA has also forgone the event.
Nintendo has not yet confirmed exactly which date it will air its E3 2019 Direct presentation, though it could be a little earlier than usual given that there won’t be a PlayStation or EA conference.
