Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase 7/20 July 20 10 a.m. ET third-party first-party developers partners

The rumors were partially true. A Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase is occurring on Monday, July 20 at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET. It will feature Nintendo Switch games from Nintendo’s “development & publishing partners.” Whether that means third-party developers with their own games or second-party developers is unclear — it could be both. However, it will apparently focus on previously announced Nintendo Switch games.

That means the odds of getting a Live A Live-on-Switch announcement or the reveal of a new Monolith Soft game are fairly nonexistent. Still, you never know with a Nintendo Direct, even a Mini, so keep your eyes peeled. Plus, Nintendo notes that this is only the first of more presentations in this style.

Additionally, the event is reportedly only 10 minutes long.

What do you think of the extremely late reveal of the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase for July 20? And what do you expect to see? An update on Shin Megami Tensei V and Bayonetta 3 would be more than welcome, for instance. Metroid Prime 4 news would be pretty nice too, if Retro Studios is considered a “partner” in this case. Even if no new games are announced, Nintendo Switch has enough already announced games that are desperately in need of new information.

Just please don’t be Bakugan.
