Nintendo Direct

It’s Christmas in February! Nintendo fans absolutely live for those days when the Big N opens the floodgates and lets out a tidal wave of news. It’s been a long time since a full-length Nintendo Direct, but that wait is finally over! You can look forward to a heaping helping of Nintendo news tomorrow, February 17. The show kicks off at 2:00 pm Pacific / 5:00 pm Eastern, and we’ll be livestreaming it here at Nintendo Enthusiast.

Nintendo Direct returns!

So what can we expect from the upcoming livestream? The announcement post is pretty vague, but it’s teasing a lengthy show. We can expect around 50 minutes of reveals, which is around the length of the old E3 Nintendo Direct streams. The show will include both old and new games. The only one specifically called out by name is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, so it sounds like we can expect some DLC news.

Beyond that, the possibilities are endless. Other games could be getting more DLC. We could see more from previously announced games like Bayonetta 3 and Breath of the Wild 2. Perhaps we’ll at long last see something from Retro Studios, such as Metroid Prime 4. Nintendo could also surprise us with completely new reveals in popular franchises, or even unveil a new IP. Whatever they bring to the table, it just feels great to have Nintendo Direct back in full!
