PayPal support was finally added to the Nintendo eShop a few weeks back, allowing customers to link their PayPal account to Nintendo’s service in order to make purchases without the need of buying an eShop card or using a credit/debit card. This definitely makes the shopping experience a lot more convenient. The only issue is that the introduction of the PayPal x eShop service is that it was not made available to everyone. On that note, the list of supported regions just got a little bigger.

Nintendo has launched PayPal support for the eShop in the ‘land down under’: Australia/New Zealand. This is no doubt good news for thousands of Switch and 3DS users located in those regions. They may be remote locations, but they mustn’t be forgotten!

The Austrailian Nintendo branch posted an official statement on the PayPal integration, reminding users that linking their PayPal account to their Nintendo Account must be done via a PC or smart device, and also that the country setting of their Nintendo Account must match that of their PayPal account in order for the connection to work.
