A few weeks ago, Nintendo of America shut down its repair centers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the company has announced as of May 19 that the repair services have been reopened.
The company mentions that “repair orders will be prioritized in the order that they have been set up and received.” So, that means if you already sent out an order before the closure and it had to be temporarily left, the mechanics at Nintendo will be returning to complete those orders first and then deal with the others in the queue.
Nintendo doesn’t give any specifics as to when the restarts will begin; it simply states that “some repair centers are gradually restarting services in accordance with local guidelines in place due to COVID-19.”
If you’re concerned about Nintendo’s health policies, it has made sure to mention that your products will be cleaned and disinfected upon arrival and before the return shipment. (I must also add, it would be really cool of you to also thoroughly clean your products before sending them out).
For any more questions that you might have about how the repair services are going to operate moving forward, you can go ahead and check out the FAQ over on Nintendo’s official Support website.
