While Nintendo fans around the world desperately count down the days until a new Nintendo Direct comes along, sharing info about new and surprising Nintendo projects for the upcoming year, the beloved Japanese game company has decided to remind us of some of the games coming out this year that they’ve previously shared with us. Thanks to a new infographic published by Nintendo, we’ve got a look at over 20 upcoming Nintendo Switch releases that will be dropping sometime in 2020.
The start of Nintendo’s 2020 is a little dry, with a handful of ports and multi-platform releases arriving in February. March is where things really pick up, though, with the release of brand new titles like the highly anticipated next entry in the Animal Crossing series, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as the release of the just recently announced Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.
As we get closer to the end of 2020, though, many highly anticipated releases still don’t have a locked-in release date. The recently revealed expansions for Pokémon Sword and Shield, for example, are simply listed as arriving in June and autumn. Meanwhile, promising new sequels like No More Heroes III, Bravely Default II, and Deadly Premonition 2 don’t have any kind of release date or period attached to them at all. Hopefully, a Nintendo Direct in 2020 will soon share some more concrete details on many of these releases.
