Welcome back to another edition of Nintendo Showdown! This is a weekly series at Nintendo Enthusiast, and it requires some audience participation. Every week we’ll compare two (or more) Nintendo games and pit them against each other in a poll. Your votes decide the winner, so choose wisely. To celebrate tomorrow’s Switch eShop launch of Mega Man Zero, we’re matching it up against its SNES predecessor, Mega Man X! Cast your vote in the poll below!
Mega Man X vs. Mega Man Zero
Mega Man X took the classic platforming series to a new level with improvements in graphics and AI as well as new traversal options, like dashing and wall-climbing. Although the titular X is the star, Zero is introduced and immediately became a fan favorite. Sigma doesn’t stand a chance!
In Mega Man Zero, it’s Zero himself taking the starring role. The usual jump-and-shoot action returns, but the Game Boy Advance title spices things up with some sword-slashing fun. But who’s that familiar-looking villain?
Both of these games are must-plays that spawned their own successful franchises. Which one is the superior Mega Man experience? Cast your votes to help us decide the winner of this week’s Nintendo Showdown!
