Twitter has some interesting information regarding the most tweeted about things during E3 2018 (list below). It almost comes as no surprise that Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are two of the most tweeted about things during the week of E3. Nintendo has been on a roll ever since the Switch hit the market in March of last year. With amazing first titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odysey launching during the console’s first year, it’s no wonder people can’t stop talking about it. After the company’s E3 Direct, it seems like now more than ever Nintendo really knows how to captivate its audience (Ridley FTW!).

Not only was the first year for the Switch spectacular, but there are huge games that we know are on the horizon. From Fire Emblem Three Houses, Yoshi, Metroid Prime 4, and let us not forget the ginormus heavy-hitters by the names of Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikchu and Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee that are coming out this November. Mainline titles or not, these games are going to absolutely dominate when it comes to sales numbers. There is no doubt Switch hardware sales will recieve a huge spike in December. We recently had a spirited discussion about our thoughts on the two new Pokemon games (like will motion controls be forced? How will battles work?) You can check that video out below.

All signs are pointing to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate being the biggest and possibly most successful Super Smash Bros. title yet. The Nintendo Switch took the throne as the fastest selling gaming console of all-time, and a bunch of games have been finding massive financial success on the platform, Smash Bros. will not only capture the heart of longtime fans of the series, but it’ll likely find a brand new audience on Switch.

During E3 2018 a few Nintendo Enthusiast writers got their hands on Super Bros Bros. Ultimate. You can read about some changes to the gameplay in comparison to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, or check out our initial video reaction of the game after playing hands-on for over forty minutes (video below).
