Nintendo Twitter account for corporate and investor relations news created

There is a new official Nintendo Twitter account for delivering “corporate and Investor Relations news,” meaning things having to do with Nintendo finances will be published there. It is currently unclear if this account will be tweeting in both Japanese and English, as the account is Japanese, but the first tweet has received a corresponding English version, which you can see below.

Of course, Twitter aside, Nintendo already maintains a variety of web pages in Japanese and English relating to corporate and investor relations data, such as this page for top-selling video game software that is updated quarterly. It is within such pages that you can see how Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has sold about 29 million units or that Nintendo Switch has pushed over 68 million units (certainly over 70 million by now).

Nintendo is known to be last to the party when it comes to chasing popular trends — such as, you know, smooth online play for its most popular games — but it does have a strong and varied Twitter presence, ranging from this new corporate account to the competition-centric Nintendo Versus account. Follow this new account if you want to be up to date on Nintendo’s financials.
