Nintendo has been hard at work developing a patent that involves a “cloud-like” save system so that it can be utilized with the console and computer, and then passed along into the network and then into the “cloud”. Initially, the patent was denied for some reason, so Nintendo had to go back to the drawing board and fix a few things within the patent.

The patent has now been given a notice of allowance however, which means that it has been approved by USPTO, and now the only thing that remains is the issuing of the patent.

It looks like Nintendo is really embracing technology with this upcoming generation, so it will be interesting to see how this is utilized for either the Wii U, 3DS, or NX.
