indie world showcase

The year isn’t over yet, so why not sneak in one last presentation? Nintendo confirmed that the previous Nintendo Direct was their last for the year, but that doesn’t rule out other events. Today, they announced that they’re once again teaming up with smaller studios for an Indie World showcase. These shorter livestreams are a great way to learn about upcoming games from passionate devs who otherwise might go unnoticed.

Indie World showcase tomorrow

The next Indie World showcase is set for tomorrow, December 15, at 9:00 am Pacific/noon Eastern. That’s 5:00 pm for our readers in the UK. This will be a shorter presentation, lasting just 15 minutes. You can expect updates on previously revealed indie titles as well as new reveals. Nintendo specifically mentions “global partners,” so we should be seeing a diverse range of titles from across the world.

No specific games have been teased so far, but we can dream! Personally, I’m hoping this Indie World showcase features updates on games like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Axiom Verge 2, Sports Story, and Deltarune. As sequels to hit games, any of these would be a welcome addition to the lineup. Of course, I’d also love to see some new games that rival them in quality. Whatever the case, we’ll be livestreaming the event tomorrow and covering the news as it breaks!
