Nippon Ichi Software to announce a new strategy RPG at TGS 2021 Online NIS Sega Tokyo Game Show

Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) has announced that it will unveil a new strategy RPG at TGS 2021 Online on October 2 during a Sega broadcast at 7:00 p.m. JST.

If you’re wondering “Why Sega?” that’s because they often host streams and events as a partner company at Tokyo Game Show. In short, Sega won’t be a part of the development or publishing for the game, but its TGS 2021 Online livestream will feature NIS among other developers during the expo.

When you think about strategy RPGs from Nippon Ichi Software, the first thing that comes to mind is the Disgaea series. The announcement tweet is written in a way that a Prinny posted it, but that’s just NIS being NIS on social media. The accompanying image comes with the NIS logo and “new strategy RPG” in text. It also shows some meat that could be a hint, but your guess is as good as mine so far. Be sure to comment below if you Enthusiasts have any ideas!

Here’s the new strategy RPG at TGS 2021 Online announcement tweet from Nippon Ichi Software:

“Nippon Ichi Software

To be announced via Sega Atlus TGS 2021 Online!!

Look forward to it, dood.

October 2, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. JST”

So far, the NIS new strategy RPG TGS 2021 announcement is only available in Japanese, but there’s a good chance that we’ll get English subtitle options if the company plans to release the game worldwide. TGS 2021 Online will occur September 30 through October 3, 2021. Check out its online schedule here.
