No More Heroes 3 trailer Game Awards Suda51 Grasshopper Manufacture

No More Heroes 3 teased a new trailer at The Game Awards 2019, but it only showed a sliver of the confusing anime madness. Fortunately, Nintendo has us covered with the full video, over 5 minutes long, which is most assuredly way more confusing. Have a look at whatever the heck this is. It involves a child and the promise of his little alien (?) friend returning to him someday. That alien does keep his promise to return, except he has apparently become a dangerous genocidal intergalactic warlord. Then random people explode. However, the alien proclaims himself to be a “goddamn super hero,” and then Travis Touchdown emerges to staunchly disagree with him. At the least, Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture are truly on brand here.

Watch this crazy No More Heroes 3 trailer!

It’s likely that this alien anti-hero warlord is the primary antagonist of the game, and if so, what a way to introduce him! Having an adorable E.T.-like buddy return from the stars as a nightmare psychopath is a pretty great plot twist in my book. In any case, No More Heroes 3 will release for Nintendo Switch in 2020.

If you missed it, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 has new DLC set to release this month, also announced at The Game Awards.
