How Masahiro Sakurai met a Disney rep to help Make Sora in Super Smash Bros Ultimate possible

With the release of Sora in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, we’ve reached the end of an era. Wild speculation, character wishlists, leaks and rumors, and more. Sora, one of the most heavily requested characters across the game’s life, caps off a hefty DLC effort that brought twelve new characters to the game, including popular requests like Steve and Banjo, surprise picks like Piranha Plant, and controversial selections such as Byleth. Now that all is said and done, how do you feel about the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC options?

Personally, I am quite satisfied overall with each Fighters Pass. After the announcement of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, I said that I would be satisfied so long as King K. Rool and Banjo made it into the game. True to my word, I’ve been blissfully happy since that amazing Banjo reveal. Beyond Banjo, though, I use a handful of the DLC characters in my regular rotation, like Joker. I got to see a handful of my other most wanted characters join the game, including Joker and Sora. I can’t even get annoyed at characters from overrepresented series such as Byleth, because Byleth is pretty darn fun to play as. Overall, I think that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate received the excellent DLC effort that it deserved. Sure, I could add a few more characters, but it’s hard to ask for much more.

How do you feel about the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter DLC? Who is your favorite character? Least favorite? Who were you bummed to see left out? Let us know in the comments section below.
