Nintendo’s mysterious ‘NX’ system has been a hot topic of debate for well over a year now. The gaming industry hasn’t been painting Nintendo in a very positive light for quite some time, part of the reason is due to the fact that Nintendo has taken a more lax approach when it comes to power for the past two generations. As a result, many gamers have expressed a strong desire to see the Big N return to the days of old, where its consoles were on-par, and sometimes even superior to the other systems on the market. Even so, it appears that Nintendo has a different thought on the matter.

Reggie-Fils Aime, the president of Nintendo of America, sat down for a video interview with a reporter from Bloomberg, a large news publication. The reporter asked Reggie how Nintendo feels about both Sony and Microsoft announcing more powerful systems which are set to be released within the next year; as to how the NX will stack up against them. Reggie responded by saying that when it comes to the NX, “content is Nintendo’s focus”. According to Reggie, Nintendo would much rather let Sony and Microsoft battle it out in the spec wars.

Rumors have suggested that the NX is a powerful system, but we can only wait and see how things truly are when Nintendo finally talks about the system in the Fall.
