Outer Wilds

Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye, an expansion pack for the popular time-loop mystery game, was revealed earlier today. Additionally, the Switch port of the game, which was originally slated to release in Summer 2021, is now expected this winter. While the expansion pack has not been explicitly confirmed for Switch yet, it’s still quite exciting to see this highly acclaimed game get some more content ahead of its Switch release. You can check out a trailer for the expansion below, courtesy of Annapurna Interactive’s YouTube channel.

Despite leaking on Steam earlier this year, fans are still immensely excited to see confirmation that more content is on the way for Outer Wilds. According to the developers, this DLC is intended to be the “first and only expansion” for the game. Thanks to the cryptic trailer, we still don’t know a ton about the DLC yet, either, but the devs state that new areas and objectives are intended to seamlessly “weave directly into the existing world and narrative.”

Have you had the chance to play Outer Wilds on another platform, or are you waiting for the Switch version before you dive into the game? If you have already played the game, are you excited about this expansion? Why or why not? Let us know in the comment section below.
