Indie couch co-op phenoms Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2 are apparently teaming up for a physical release in Europe, if some rather detailed leaks on various retail sites are to be believed. In addition to showing off box art, the leaks indicate that the double pack is slated for release on November 26 this year.
Unfortunately, the package descriptions make no mention of including the DLC from either game. That would, however, be incredibly odd given that the first Overcooked! is only available on Switch as a special edition with DLC packed in. Why strip it out? Would Team17 even bother making the original game’s DLC available separately? It’s more than a little fishy, and as such, I’d wait for an official announcement before writing the DLC out completely.
Regardless, an Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2 bundle would be a dream package for physical collectors who love co-op madness. Unfortunately, in addition to DLC uncertainty, there is currently no way of knowing if the double pack will make it overseas or not. I hope it does, because physical indie games just warm my heart, and I want Switch owners to have as many chances as possible to get in on these amazing games.
