Gosh, for being what Nintendo calls a Nintendo Direct Mini, I don’t see how these are small announcements! Forever Entertainment’s Panzer Dragoon: Remake and Raven Software / Aspyr’s Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy are both releasing for Nintendo Switch today, March 26. We kind of already knew Jedi Academy would release today since it’s the same date of the PlayStation 4 release, but Panzer is actually a timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch. And furthermore, the Direct casually revealed that Star Wars Episode I: Racer, the pod racing Nintendo 64 game, is headed to Switch at some point too!
We have cued up the Nintendo Direct Mini to the moment that the Star Wars trailer begins, but it is followed immediately by the Panzer Dragoon: Remake trailer.
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy will retain its online play for upward of 16 players, which is fantastic news. It sounds like it will be the game everyone remembers and is available for $19.99. Meanwhile, Panzer Dragoon: Remake is a faithful recreation of the Sega Saturn title, and there is 360-degree combat and vibrant new graphics to enjoy. It is $24.99 in the Switch eShop.
There is seemingly no further word on Star Wars Episode I: Racer yet, but you better believe we’ll give you an update when that news comes along.
