Paper Starfox

The Nintendo 64 is host to a number of classic titles. Two of the most iconic are Paper Mario and Star Fox 64. These innovative games are some of the best in their respective genres: RPG and Shooter. But what if someone thought to combine the two series into Paper Star Fox 64? They’d be considered a mad genius, and that’s a perfect way to describe YouTube user JorgeMV.

Paper Star Fox 64 sounds odd in concept but looks wonderful in execution

After toiling away for a month and a half, Jorge created the following clip showcasing his idea:

It’s so cute, I could die. Also, I’d never figure to combine a Shooter and an RPG, but now I need Nintendo to. It looks like it could work!

Jorge made the animation by his lonesome due to his love of Star Fox 64, his favorite video game. He used programs like Maya, C4D, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Imagine how different the world would be if Nintendo had gone in this direction instead of creating Star Fox Zero.

Enthusiasts, what do you think of Paper Star Fox 64, the most ambitious crossover since Super Smash Bros.? Let us know your innermost feelings with a comment down below.
