Persona Spotify Persona soundtracks music OST live concerts remix Shoji Meguro

When I think of “masterpiece video game soundtrack,” I think of… well, okay, I think of Chrono Trigger of course. I also think of a lot of Nobuo Uematsu Final Fantasy soundtracks and a lot of old Square music in general. But after all of that, I think of Shoji Meguro and his companions on the incredible Persona soundtracks we have enjoyed for the past several years in Atlus games. If you’ve never had the pleasure of indulging before, you’re in luck, because a bunch of Persona music and soundtracks is coming to Spotify tomorrow, at midnight apparently.

Original soundtracks for Persona 3, Persona 4Persona 4: Dancing All NightPersona 4 Arena Ultimax, Persona 5Persona Q, and Persona Q2 are all coming, plus live concert performances, a collection of Persona 2 music, and assorted remixes.

You’ll note that the original game is evidently missing for Spotify, which is a bummer, and it seems like you won’t be able to access some amazing songs from the revamps of the mainline games, such as music from Persona 4 Golden. Those are absences that sting. But everything else you are getting is totally worthy of celebration. Nobody can stop you from listening to “Reach Out to the Truth” or “The Whims of Fate” 100 times in a row.

Your Spotify is going to be all Persona music, all the time for a while, and that’s AOK in our book. Fingers crossed that Persona 5 Strikers joins in on the fun at some point.
