Pikmin 3 Deluxe 4 3 Nintendo games of the decade

It’s been a long, long, long, long, long, LONG time since the last general Direct, which shadowdropped Banjo in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, announced a long-overdue crop of SNES games for Switch Online, and revealed Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive EditionAny day now, we should have a new Direct, and based on how little we know about Nintendo’s plans for 2020 beyond Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it could be a great one. Pepper in random rumors such as Crash Bandicoot as the next Fighters Pass character, a potential Paper Mario revival, and a big franchise with “wheels” making its return this year, and, well, the hype takes care of itself. What is your dream announcement for when this next Direct finally does land?

I care about one thing above all else: Pikmin 4. It exists, probably, based on multiple comments by Miyamoto talking about working on the game. It was “nearly finished” in 2015 and was still chugging along in 2017 after the release of Hey Pikmin! Unfortunately, though, we don’t have a peep of substantive info on the game. It’s way past time we find out–Pikmin 3 is approaching seven years old at this point, after all. The series has been dormant too long.

What’s your dream Direct announcement? More info on Metroid Prime 4? A sequel to something like Super Mario Odyssey? N64 games on Switch Online? Whatever your choice is, tell it to us in the comments!
