The Switch ditched the expansive Virtual Console of past console generations, so your main ways to play older Nintendo games are through the Nintendo Switch Online NES and SNES apps, and through dedicated ports and remakes that make their way onto the console, with Super Mario 3D All-Stars being a prime upcoming example. There are plenty of other banner Nintendo series with retro goodies that would fit quite nicely onto the Switch. What Nintendo franchises would you like to see get their own “All-Star” collections on Switch?
Donkey Kong Country, Pikmin, and, of course, The Legend of Zelda all jump out at me. Cramming all five Donkey Kong Country games (I guess they’d probably leave Tropical Freeze off) onto one cartridge would create one of the greatest platforming bundles ever. Likewise, Pikmin 3 Deluxe is slated for Switch this October, but I would have loved to play the entire trilogy on Switch, largely because Pikmin game is a unique and rewarding experience with its own strengths and weaknesses. Finally, The Legend of Zelda is an obvious choice, particularly with 3D entries. I’d be ecstatic to have Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and Twilight Princess all in one package. They’d be perfect alongside Breath of the Wild, though I fear I’d never play a new game again.
